Know your prospect engagement funnel and other great points from Matt Heinz

Wednesday, January 18th, 2012

Here is the full video replay of yesterday’s webinar with Matt Heinz of Heinz Marketing.

There are some really great points made here about engaging prospects early, building out an editorial calendar to drive your content marketing strategy, reminding yourself to always have a call to action in any marketing message, and focusing on customer pain/outcomes vs. your features/benefits.  Great stuff!

Turn your product into your marketing with LoopFuse Custom Events

Monday, November 14th, 2011

This last weekend marked the release of LoopFuse v3.34.  This new release includes deeper integration for custom events within the LoopFuse feature set to include a new custom event dashboard, integration of custom events within lead nurturing programs, and scoring rules based on custom events.

Custom Events Explained

custom_eventFor those of you that missed the announcement of custom event support in our previous release, custom events allows LoopFuse customers to capture what actions their end-users are performing within their applications.  These actions, or custom events, can be anything that a customer wants to track within their application per end-user and are completely defined by the customer.

For example, a customer that has an online shopping cart would want to capture events related to checkout such as an abandoned shopping cart.  Another example would be a customer that offers an online service such as web-based video conferencing would want to capture events related to conducting a meeting such as creating a meeting and number of attendees for that meeting.

Custom Events Dashboard

The Custom Events dashboard allows LoopFuse customers to view which activities their end-users are performing over a specified period of time.  This dashboard also displays increases in volume of activities over a period of time and even which end-users are performing which actions.

Now both marketing and sales have visibility into what their end-users are doing, or in some cases not doing, in real-time.

Lead Nurturing using Custom Events

Visibility into what end-users are doing within your application is important, but being able to react to what end-users are doing is just as important.  LoopFuse customer will be able to build automated workflow programs that can include custom events within logic of their programs.

For example, using one of the previous examples of an abandoned shopping cart, a program can be built to not only detect this type of event but also email out to that end-user a special offer to bring them back and complete the transaction.

Lead Scoring based on Custom Events

Lead scoring is a great way to quickly qualify a prospect based on their actions such as viewing a pricing page or downloading a specific PDF file.  Being able to impact a prospect’s score based on their actions related to your application is also very useful.

create_meeting_scoring_rule

For example, using one of the previous examples of creating an online video conferencing meeting, a scoring rule can be created to assign 5 points for every meeting an end-user creates up to a total of 15 points.  Using scoring rules such as this can quickly identify a prospect that is actively using the service to the sales team.

Seven ways not to suck at lead nurturing

Thursday, August 18th, 2011

We recently had a discussion with Mac McConnell of Bluebird Strategies about how to do lead nurturing the right way.  Mac knows a thing or two about his given his previous senior sales experience at Sun Microsystems.

You can watch the replay of the webinar by clicking here.

Mac walked us through some great tips and examples during our discussion.  Here are seven things that will keep you from sucking at lead nurturing:

  1. Focus on creating value for the buyer by putting yourself in their shoes and asking “how is this solution going to improve my worth at work.”
  2. Ensure the content offered meets the expectations of the audience.  Content for the sake of content is a frequently repeated early mistake in lead nurturing programs.
  3. Don’t rely too heavily on past accomplishments (case studies, etc.) because they may not apply to the current customer’s situation.
  4. Lead nurturing is not a “set it and forget it” process.  Keep it simple but constantly assess both the content and timing of your nurturing program.
  5. The best nurturing program is one that focuses on the prospects area(s) of interest and creativity can “shake up a sleeping” database of leads.
  6. Don’t forget about retention and the role nurturing plays in that process especially if you are a subscription-based business.  Nurturing doesn’t end once someone becomes a customer.
  7. Seek first to educate and demonstrate your knowledge of the customer’s problem and it flows more naturally that you have the solution to that problem.

Great points Mac!  Be sure to watch the whole thing here.

Loopfuse and Bluebird Strategies Present Free Lead Nurturing Webinar

Tuesday, July 19th, 2011

More than an automated email drip campaign, lead nurturing is a coordinated set of planned messages, content and tactics that guide a lead through the buying cycle. Poorly constructed and planned lead nurturing programs can do a great deal of harm, from alienating leads by giving them the wrong information or being annoying by contacting them too often.

Join us as Mac McConnell, MBA, and partner and founder of BlueBird Strategies, presents “Lead Nurturing: How Not to Screw It Up.”  McConnell teaches you how to design a lead nurturing program that provides leads with the content they want and you with increased sales.

We will cover:

  • Motivating the B2B buyer
  • Preparing a lead for a sale
  • Developing quality content
  • Scoring leads to track progress
  • Review real life examples that worked

Saturday, May 14th, 2011

May 15th marks the release of LooFuse OneView v3.31.  This new release focuses on expanded integration for web form hosting and inbound marketing, along with enhanced international support for our global users.

Wufoo Integration

wufoo_logo

Wufoo is a free online service that provides a simple and attractive way to build and host web forms. Wufoo features can include field data validation, user prompts, customized HTML, and a host of other goodies that would normally require a programmer to implement.

With the addition of the LoopFuse integration to Wufoo forms, users will be able to automatically capture these form submissions within their LoopFuse account while still maintaining all the other tracking data for prospects, such as page views.

International Character Support

international_supportThe world is getting smaller and marketers need to be able to communicate on a global level.  This, along with our increasing international user base, has led to the full support of the UTF-8 character set within all aspects of LoopFuse, including lead capture, list import, email campaigns, CRM export and reporting.  LoopFuse now supports over 650 languages.

Extension of Inbound Marketing to the CRM

inbound_sfdcLast year we added Inbound Marketing / Search Engine Marketing to our feature set, which enables marketers to analyze which referring sites, search engines, and keywords are leading to the highest level of lead capture form conversions.  Within this release, we are extending this functionality to the CRM by passing along data, such as referring site and search keywords, to the CRM lead and contact records.  This, in turn, provides more information to the sales team and the ability to generate more comprehensive reports from within the CRM.

Special thanks to our customers for submitting these and other feature requests via the LoopFuse Community!
